Note
- You can export content from Joomla! 1.5 using J2XML 1.5.
- You can export content from Joomla! 2.5 using J2XML 3.7.
From the backend of your Joomla site (administration), access the Joomla Extension Manager by going to Extensions -> Manage -> Install.

Upload package file
Download the extension to your local machine as a zip file package.
Drag and drop the downloaded file into the drag and drop area or click the or Browse for file button and select the extension package on your local machine.

From the item manager, eg. Users manager, select the items you want to send and clink on the button export
In the next window set the options for exporting data.

From the backend of your Joomla site (administration), access the J2XML Import Manager by going to Components -> J2XML.

Upload xml file
Drag and drop the xml file into the drag and drop area or click the or Browse for file button and select the xml file on your local machine.

Notification Mail to User
If you do not want to send the notification to the user after importing an account, you must disable the option Notification Mail to User of the plugin "User - Joomla!"

From the item manager, eg. Users manager, select the items you want to send and clink on the button send
In the next window enter the url of the target website and set the options for sending data.

Enter the user name a password of a user with administrative rights

The data will be sent to the target website and a process bar shows the sending process.

If XMLRPC is not enabled on the target website, an error message will be displayed.

On J2XML control panel, click Options button at top. Go to the tab Advanced and enable the XMLRPC protocol.
